Nursery A staffed nursery is available for children ages 3 and under. The nursery has toys, infant swings, cribs, couches, educational Christian videos, a changing table and a television with a broadcast of the service. Parents are also welcome to keep their children with them during the service and use the nursery equipment whenever necessary.
Jr. Church During the Sunday morning worship service, children ages 4-12 are invited to attend a Junior Church program during the sermon. The children participate in a class where the bible is opened and brought to life through stories, activities, life applications and games. Our team of volunteer teachers are well grounded in the Word and excited to work with the children. We believe we are raising the next generation for Jesus.
Sacred Dance Also, Sacred Dance is available for youth and adults ages 5 and up to participate in.

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. – 1 Timothy 4:12 – Encounter Theme Verse.

Involvement in all the programs of our local church: Music/Worship Ministry, Men’s & Women’s groups, Community Small Groups and Christian Ed classes. We encourage students to be involved with sharing Jesus on campuses with other Christians from local churches. Check out InterVarsity groups at SUNY Potsdam and Clarkson.
In an age where traditional values are being challenged, we help college students develop thoughtful, compassionate perspectives, and lifestyles that reflect God’s heart and values to our world. Students are involved in many aspects of church life at New Hope Community Church and are encouraged to participate as much as their schedules allow.
At New Hope, “Our mission is to bring new hope, through the grace and peace of Jesus Christ, to the local campuses, our communities, and countries around the world.”
As our Global Outreach Team considers that undertaking, we aim to identify, encourage and send out those who feel called into the mission field. That mission field may be either here in our country or beyond into the global community that is ever so dear to the heart of the Father. The scripture in Ephesians 3:15 states that He is the Father “from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.” So we take the sending process quite seriously. But we also see ourselves as a supporting agency that encourages missionaries already in the mission field. In either case, we are looking to support the advancement of God’s kingdom through the declaration that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father.
The Global Outreach Team meets quarterly.
Small Groups are a great place to meet others and grow in a relationship with God. They typically consist of a Bible study, prayer, community building, and outreach. That is our desire – to grow closer to one another in this time of fellowship with one another in Jesus Christ and to extend this fellowship to others.

Policies and Reports
The library is a tremendous resource for anyone who wants to grow in faith. The books are organized into categories so it is easy for just about anyone to find a book that fits their interests. It is our intent that the library will be available not only for New Hope, but also for all Christians in the Potsdam area. All books are free for anyone to borrow.
Ministry Interns are usually considering full-time vocational ministry. The purpose of their internship is to further prepare & equip them for ministry under the oversight of the elders. See our church constitution to learn more about their appointment.
